What a football club’s social media page needs
Content which lets fans have an insight to how the club runs
Mobile phone content - raw, intimate, good for engagement
An interactive side (e.g. polls, prompts, ways for players to see comments & react)
Have a matchday experience through social media - videos on pitch, warm-ups, shooting drills, celebrations
Women’s team & youth squad involvement
Reference to club graphics within media content - same fonts, imagery, custom transitions
Tiktok-style challenges that players can take part in
Manager sideline BTS
Fan art & photography, tagging creators to build a sense of collaboration and family
Insight into a fan experience - car journeys, pubs, takeaway vans, in the stands, chants etc. Could even do fan mini docs
Livestreams - training, post-win celebrations
Interacting with other teams in the league - even friendly banter is good for engagement
Former players, referencing history to the club
Player selfie videos, messages to fans
Club store advertisement content - like what I do at size?
Utilising trending sounds & meme templates without losing professionalism
Instagram post collaborations with the league, if possible
Sharing other player’s posts - retweeting tweets, resharing posts on Stories
Putting emphasis on nationalities - utilising a diverse squad and possibly tapping into new markets doing so
Telling stories of players, the season, club positioning in the table etc - gets neutrals invested
Injury updates - hospital pictures are obviously not ideal, but they are wholesome and good for player-to-fan engagement
References to the future - next season, returning loan players, pre-agreed transfers, injury returns
